Every year on World Suicide Prevention Day, communities around the world come together to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and share hope. Suicide is preventable, and each of us has the power to make a difference. Sometimes it starts with a simple conversation, other times with sharing the right resource at the right time.

Everyday Actions That Make a Difference
Beyond crisis lines, prevention happens in daily life, through connection, compassion, and awareness. Here are simple steps we can all take:
Check in on someone: A text or call can remind a person they are not alone.
Start conversations about mental health: Talking openly reduces stigma and creates space for healing.
Recognize the signs: Withdrawal, changes in behavior, or expressions of hopelessness can signal that someone needs support.
Encourage professional help: Therapists, counselors, and support groups provide tools and care that save lives.
